With the release of Pixar’s animated movie Cars this weekend, I think some people were actually more excited to hear about Pixar’s next film than they were to see Cars. A French language teaser trailer for the movie Ratatouille found its way online at some point last week but was quickly taken down; now today we finally have the official English language version of this same trailer online over at Apple. While the teaser doesn’t show much, it does reveal that the movie revolves around a family of mice living in France who steal food from fancy restaurants. Certainly nothing completely new or different for Pixar, but it does seem slightly more original than a bunch of talking cars. No voice cast has been announced yet, but the other big selling point for this movie is that it is being directed by Brad Bird (The Incredibles, The Iron Giant). Count me in. Ratatouille will hit theatres sometime next summer.
