McFarlane To Release “Lost” Action Figures

You’ve gotta hand it to Todd McFarlane… regardless of what you think of his artistic talent or his cocky attitude, he is one smart businessman. With his McFarlane Toys imprint, he has gone on to be a very rich man, time and again licensing properties with rabid cult followings to create high quality collectibles, and now it looks like he has another hit on his hands. This November, McFarlane Toys will release its first series of action figures based on the TV show Lost. The characters included in this first line will be Jack, Locke, Charlie, Kate, Hurley and Shannon. I don’t know about you, but I’d definitely plunk down $10 or $15 dollars to have a realistic replica of Hurley’s oversized anatomy on my desk any day of the week. So far the only photos that have surfaced are ones of Charlie’s figure, which looks quite impressive. Each figure will also come with sound chip technology enabling them to speak signature lines taken from the show. There will also be Lost deluxe box sets recreating key moments with small-scale dioramas, including one of “the hatch”. USA Today recently ran an online poll asking which character people would most like to have an action figure of. The winner? Mr. Eko, followed closely by Sawyer. I guess you’ll just have to wait for series 2.
