So it looks like they’re going to do another Re-Animator movie, which will make it the 4th in the series I believe. The good news is that original Re-Animator director Stuart Gordon is back to direct on this one, re-teaming with original writer Dennis Paoli and original producer Brian Yuzna (who directed the sequels Bride of Re-Animator and Beyond Re-Animator himself). House of Re-Animator is what they’re calling it, for the simple reason that it will be a political satire involving a U.S. president who dies on the job at the White House and must be brought back to life by (who else?) Dr. Herbert West. What may put House of Re-Animator on a level higher than the other horror rehashes being churned out lately is the cast. Apparently they’ve managed to secure a decent budget for this thing, allowing them to cast none other than William H. Macy as the president. No word on who else might star — except of course, Jeffrey Combs, who is expected to reprise his role as Dr. West. You know, this thing might actually be worth seeing. Stay tuned for more details.
