As the second season of ABC’s smash hit series Lost draws to a close, we naturally are treated to an announcement about when we can buy the whole thing on DVD. People who have been holding out to watch this show on DVD instead of following along on TV are going to save themselves the annoyance of dealing with month long gaps in between new episodes, but they’ll still have to wait a few more months to see it. Lost: The Complete Second Season - The Extended Experience will be a 7-disc set that includes over 8 hours of bonus material. These include: “Lost Connections” (explore the connections between the various characters and the mysterious numbers with unseen footage and insight from the creators), “Lost: On Location” (behind the scenes of 10 episodes, and a look at life on the set), “The Lost Flashbacks” (some additional, never before seen flashbacks), “Secrets of the Hatch”, “Fire And Water: Anatomy of an Episode”, bloopers, deleted scenes and an unspecified number of audio commentary tracks. The street date is October 3rd, likely one or two weeks before Season 3 premieres. Suggested retail price is $59.99 US.
