Rowan Atkinson To Return In Bean 2
Oh dear. Well it seems that despite appearances in Scooby Doo, Love Actually and the box office bomb Johnny English, Rowan Atkinson’s movie career has not taken off like he hoped it would. Which of course means it’s time for him to pull out the ace up his sleeve and return to the one character that has brought him worldwide recognition and acclaim. Bean 2, the sequel to the first Mr. Bean movie, will begin production next month. Does he realize that it’s been 9 years since the first Bean movie? Does anyone actually care about this character anymore? The first Bean movie brought in over $240 million, although it was primarily hailed as a disappointment from what I can remember. I don’t have much interest in this despite the fact that it looks to have a decent director in Steve Bendelack (who previously directed The League of Gentlemen’s Apocalypse spin-off movie).

i really like mr bean, but with it being almost a decade since it was on, its a risk for rowan to do it. i think at least he should do a couple of tv specials to see how people react and then go to the big show. i hope that it works, but i doubnt it!
