Trailer For Ray Romano Stand-Up Tour Documentary “95 Miles To Go”
I don’t think I’m alone when I say that I’m not a big fan of Ray Romano. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of his stand-up comedy, but based on his wildly successful sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, I don’t know if I want to. Now that the show has finished its last episode, Romano decided to get back to doing stand up, and embarked on an 8-day road trip through the southern U.S. to do some gigs with friend and Everybody Loves Raymond writer Tom Caltabiano. They allowed a film student to accompany them on the tour and film it, and the result is 95 Miles To Go, an “unscripted exploration of fame and life on the road”. I can’t help but think Romano was trying to emulate Jerry Seinfeld’s documentary Comedian, which quite honestly was a lot funnier and more interesting than this movie looks. 95 Miles To Go hits select theatres this weekend. Check out a trailer over at the official website now.

i agree, i am not a big fan of romano either, the show was alright, and when it was funny, it was usually the supporting cast that got me laughing. i really am not interested in seeing a standup tour movie on romano.

Posted by croft on April 6th, 2006How can any of you comment on either Ray Romano’s stand up act or documentary if you haven’t actually seen it? It sounds like you just don’t want to like him for some other reason. At least see the stand up comedy or documentary before you criticize. How dumb.
Posted by TK on February 6th, 2007I just watched the film on HBO and I thought it was interesting, funny, well done, and even the audio mix sounded amazing. It’s nothing like Seinfeld’s “Comedian,” and I don’t think it was trying to be. I hope the DVD comes out soon.
