The Squid and The Whale is a must rent for me, i have heard great things about this movie. Capote was a great flick as well.
Posted by Chopper on March 21st, 2006no renting. it’s a must buy. no one rents anymore anyways.
Posted by zak on March 21st, 2006Ya really…who still rents? I’m surprised places like Jumbo still exist and maybe even Blockbuster. That’s Entertainment has over the years refined its position in dealing with high turnover in used merchendise.
I was there the other day and you could pick up one of zillion copies of “The Fog” available for $7.99. That is almost a rental fee right there! I’d sooner take a chance on a used movie in the $12.00 range which can can always be traded in later on if desired.
Even NEW DVDs have come down in price on average. Market forces and illegal downloading of the ‘net influece the drop. Which is always a good thing.
