Michel Gondry’s new movie The Science of Sleep premiered at Sundance last month, and now we get our first glimpse at this next piece of surreal genius. The movie covers somewhat similar territory to his previous movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, as it is about a young man whose dreams begin blurring into his real life. In this first video clip from the movie, Gondry expresses one of his own personal childhood fears: that a volcano would open up under his house. The clip has debuted as part of a video podcast over at Partizan.com, the official website for the video production company that Gondry is a part of.
