		<description>well the differences are cultural.  Ringu and the Grudge are esentially asian versions of Friday the 13th.  the only difference is that we don&#039;t notice how generic and conventional they are because we&#039;re not well-versed in asian cinema.  there&#039;s been a whole bunch of Ringu ripoffs but they they seem much more original to us because the style is much different than the American genres we&#039;re used to.</description>
