I don’t think we ever posted this back when the trailer first popped up on iFilm so I thought I should post it now. Unknown White Male is a documentary about a guy named Doug Bruce who very suddenly finds himself inflicted with retrograde amnesia… in other words, he has no memory of who he is, where he lives, or how he got to be this way. Bruce’s longtime friend, Rupert Murray, jumped on the chance to tell this fascinating story by making a documentary about it. Although it seems a little exploitative in some way, the movie sounds quite intriguing as it explores exactly how important our memories are to us and why they help define who we are. Interestingly, this movie has also recently been accused of being fake (like many of the best documentaries are). Unknown White Male is released in New York and L.A. this weekend, hopefully it will expand at a later date. Check out the trailer now at the link below.
