New To Theatres This Weekend – Feb. 17, 2006
This weekend get warmed up for Scary Movie 4 by watching the very first installment of Date Movie, or check out Eight Below, Paul Walker’s “must-see” Disney flick about a group of scientists forced to strand their sled dogs in Antarctica. The other major release is Freedomland, starring Samuel L. Jackson and Julianne Moore. In limited release we have the questionable sequel to the questionable documentary What The Bleep Do We Know?!, basketball documentary Through The Fire, and Michael Winterbottom’s Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story. Russian film Night Watch does not appear to be playing in Canada as of yet.

As much as I enjoy parody movies….”Date Movie” looks very weak by what I’ve seen on the commercials. Hell, they even brag about using 2/6 writers from Scary Movie.
Bring on Scary Movie IV
Posted by Bassmasta-Baychuk on February 17th, 2006yeah i dont know about Date Movie, it might be one to see with alot of people. i wouldnt mind seeing Freedomland, Mister Jackson is great! everything else that is opening this week doesnt look to great, i mean, Paul Walker with a bunch of dogs. he is becoming the new Cuba Gooding Jr, but without the Oscar.
