CBS To Get American Version of Creature Comforts Series
With Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit nominated for an Oscar this year, it’s nice to see Nick Park and Aardman Animations finally getting recognition for their hard work and creative genius. Wallace & Gromit also took home the Annie Awards for Best Animated Feature, Best Director, Best Music and Best Writing last night. What’s more, CBS has reportedly commissioned the studio to create 7 all new half-hour episodes of an American version of their popular British series “Creature Comforts”. The claymation show features a mockumentary style in which animals are interviewed about their mundanity of their lives. CBS is expected to employ the show as a midseason replacement for the 2006-2007 season. More on this as it develops.
