Teaser Trailer for “The Omen 666″ Online

The original Omen movie has to be up there as one of the scariest movies of all time. It had the same gritty realism as The Exorcist, and of course, one creepy kid. Seeing as creepy kids are basically a prerequisite for horror movies nowadays (especially Japanese ones), it only makes sense that they would eventually pump out a remake of this classic. With John Moore (”Behind Enemy Lines”, “Flight of the Phoenix”) at the helm, I can’t say I have high hopes for it. But it is pretty cool that they are actually releasing it on the 6th day of the 6th month of the 6th year. Now that’s pure marketing genius right there. 1. I agree that the 666 thing is a cool thing. Anything to start the hype up. Hope this turns out to be good and that the director doesn’t try too hard to make it scary.

I think that is the problem with modern horror. They try TOO HARD to shock and scare, instead it ends up looking silly or cheezy. I think “Thirteen Ghosts” and “House On Haunted Hill” had great potential but went for gloss instead of substance.

Its supposed to be about being subtle, unpredictable and psychological. Thats why the Japanese horrors and Blair Witch are considered good horror flicks by myself.

  2. The Omen is definitely one of the scariest movies ever, along with Halloween of course. im just wondering why they are remaking every bloody movie ever made. come on think of something new and original.
