Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess To Be Playable on the Revolution

The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess was easily the most anticipated Nintendo game of 2005 (mainly because it was their only major release for the year) but its release date got pushed all the way back to mid-2006. This left Nintendo’s holiday line-up looking pretty thin, especially if you don’t own a DS. One might wonder why Nintendo would even want to bother releasing a high profile Gamecube game by the middle of next year, which is precisely when they’re going to be busy building hype for their new Revolution console. But maybe Nintendo aren’t so dazed and confused after all. It appears that the delay in Zelda’s development was intended, at least in part, to give them extra time to make the game compatible with the Revolution’s new one-handed controller, according to a report from UK Magazine NGC. The game will still be playable on the Gamecube, but it sounds like the Revolution version will provide a much more unique experience. Freestyle sword fighting perhaps? I wonder if this also means that Zelda will now be a launch title for the Revolution. Very sneaky indeed. More details on this as they become available.
