Borat Responds To Kazakhstan’s Criticism

Those keeping up with the Ali G/Borat/Kazakhstan controversy have probably heard by now that comedian Sacha Baron Cohen has responded to the government of Kazakhstan and their denouncement of his satirical character Borat, #2 top television reporter in Kazakhstan. I’m sure he is more than pleased by the free publicity this is generating. Via the “Official Borat Homesite”, Borat has delivered a statement where he distances himself from Sacha Baron Cohen and insists that Kazakhstan is as civilized as any other country in the world.

“Women can now travel on inside of bus, homosexuals no longer have to wear blue hat and age of consent has been raised to eight years old.”

Damn, I still can’t get over how unfunny the rest of that website is though. Click below to watch the video of Borat’s rebuttal. Now we sit and wait to see if Kazakhstan will take the bait even further.
