Paul W.S. Anderson To Direct Castlevania Movie

Another day, another bad video game to movie adaptation. Various sources are reporting that Crystal Sky Pictures have snapped up the rights to a Castlevania movie, with the always unreliable Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil, Alien vs. Predator, Mortal Kombat) signed on to direct. You know, if there’s one name that can doom a project almost as quickly as Uwe Boll, it’s gotta be Anderson. Castlevania is a game franchise that’s been around for 20 years and it deserves better. I mean, it really could make a great film. Then again, we’ve all seen what happened with Van Helsing, so maybe they should have just left this one alone. Production starts sometime in 2006.

  1. bummer, yeah seems like it will be shitty from the looks of it, but what a great video game.. symphony of the night off of ps1 is arguably my favorite console game ever made.

  2. The music should be awesome at least…hopefully it will stay in the symphonic mode though.
