Here’s yet another somewhat political movie that George Clooney has gotten himself involved in. This one’s called “Syriana” and it’s written and directed by Stephen Gaghan, the same guy who did the screenplay for Traffic. That doesn’t necessarily mean it will be as good as Traffic though, the guy has also written Rules of Engagement and The Alamo, and written/directed Abandon. The trailer does look interesting though. It’s about a C.I.A. operative’s experiences in the Middle East and focuses on the world oil situation. Co-starring Matt Damon, Jeffrey Wright, Chris Cooper and William Hurt, Syriana does have the potential to be something cool. Look for it in theatres on December 9th.
