Well I guess the question is, have you ever seen Firefly? I agree, the fan hype is getting a little out of hand… I’m trying not to get too caught up in it. But I can’t see it being a bad movie, and I can’t remember the last time there was a decent sci-fi movie in theatres. (Star Wars doesn’t count. )

I haven’t seen Firefly. I respect Whedon, but I think his fanboys uh… greatly exaggerate his power.

I’m pretty psyched about History of Violence and Everything is Illuminated. I saw Thumbsucker and that is a must see in my opinion, one of the most beautifully shot, original coming of age movies I have ever seen.

As for Serenity, it looks interesting. However, it seems to come pretty close to my beloved, 8 book “Deathstalker” series by Simon R. Green.

I saw A History of Violence last weekend. It’s definitely not the typical Cronenburg movie. I thought it was really good. Leave the kiddies at home though.
