Clap Your Hands Say Yeah Opt Out Of O.C. Performance
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are definitely turning into the buzz band of the year, although I didn’t realize just how much attention they had been getting until now. The New York Times is reporting that the producers of The O.C., often lauded for its conspicuous indie rock soundtrack, asked Clap Your Hands to perform live on the show. The band, however, apparently turned it down in order to retain their street cred. What a bunch of swell guys. Now I can still listen to the album untarnished without feeling all icky inside. Rumours continue to swirl that the band is being courted by various record labels and that they may have in fact signed to 4AD, although this has yet to be confirmed.

I was wondering why we hadn’t yet seen their Bait Shop performance.
