Halo Triple Pack Coming; New Maps Now Free Online
With the recent news that Halo 3 may be delayed to launch alongside the Halo feature film in 2007, Bungie has had to come up with some creative ways to keep the money flowing in. How? Why, by repackaging of course. On October 4th they will release the Halo Triple Pack, which for $59.99 U.S. includes Halo, Halo 2, and the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack all bundled together. Not a bad deal I suppose, if for some reason you don’t own any of these games yet. It will certainly be convenient for any non-X-Box owners waiting to buy an X-Box 360 instead. However, a word to the wise: as of this week anyone with Halo 2 and an X-Box Live account can now get the Maptacular Map Pack completely free of charge. If only the Triple Pack came with a “My Other Car Is A Warthog” bumper sticker… then I’d consider buying it.
