Trailer For “Memoirs of a Geisha” Online
Trailers are starting to pop up for some of this year’s Oscar bait, one of which is a movie based on Arthur Golden’s best-selling book “Memoirs of a Geisha”. The movie stars the enchanting Ziyi Zhang (minus the martial arts ass-kicking) as Nitta Sayuri, a girl who overcame her small-town roots to become Japan’s most well-known Geisha. It is directed by Rob Marshall (Chicago) from a screenplay by Akiva Goldsman, and co-stars Ken Watanabe and Michelle Yeoh. Check out the trailer over at the movie’s Japanese website now. Memoirs of a Geisha hits theatres on December 9th.
