Toronto Film Festival 2005 Line-Up Announced
The 2005 Toronto International Film Fest runs from September 8th to 17th this year, and they have just released the full list of movies that will be playing this year. There aren’t a ton of movies that I am personally looking forward to, but there are quite a few interesting selections including Larry Clark’s latest “Wassup Rockers”, Terry Gilliam’s “Tideland”, Eli Roth’s new horror flick “Hostel”, and a strange new Michel Gondry movie called “Dave Chappelle’s Block Party” (which as far as I’ve read, was an actual block party that Chappelle threw in Brooklyn… is it a documentary or a live music video?). Below is a list of some of the notable selections in this year’s festival. Advance tickets for individual movies will go on sale starting September 7th.
Brokeback Mountain – Ang Lee
Bubble – Steven Soderbergh
Dave Chappelle’s Block Party – Michel Gondry

that Chappelle movie is apparently part stand-up, part documentary, and part concert footage with the Roots, Kanye West.
Also, I’m really interested to see Everything is Illuminated. It was a really interesting book, hard to see it being adapted to film.
Posted by zak on August 24th, 2005There’s a new Takashi Miike movie playing too… The Great Yokai War.
Here’s the website, unfortunately it’s not in English: http://yokai-movie.com/index.html
Posted by Sean on August 24th, 2005As predictable as Larry Clarke is with graphic sex and violence with teens I am really exicited about Wassup Rockers.
