  1. I dont have any right to come down on Jay because he hasnt seen the original, because I haven’t seen the new version and don’t intend to… for a long while, at least. its part hate at the general remake idea and just as much, if not more, a hatred of Depp post-1995…

    i just think its funny both of us are pretty hardcore with our views on one version, and willingly ignorant about the other.

    either way, Roman’s (or was it Nuno or someone else? i wasnt paying attention) REPRESENT for the ‘71 version earns him my thanks.

  2. 8 mile good, based on performances (including Eminem) and the direction. i cant believe i was so involved with the rap battles. the way it was built up at the end where Eminem goes off the handle was so good, and i was really surprised considering its not like i’ve never heard Eminem lose it before.

    50 Cent however…. is a retard. and I dont have any faith in him to even play himself. he does a bad enough job playing himself in his videos, I’ll have a hard time believing he wont drag Jim Sheridan down with him. 50 Cent actually looked like a cool action hero in his video game trailer… but thats a fricking VIDEO GAME TRAILER.

    on a side note, is anyone interested in Hustle and Flow? The trailers make it look like its no different than Baby Boy or the zillion other movies just like this, but the reviews for it are crazy good.
