Trailer for New Werner Herzog Documentary “Grizzly Man”

Later this summer, Lion’s Gate Films will release to select theatres what looks to be another fascinating documentary from acclaimed filmmaker Werner Herzog. “Grizzly Man” examines the life of Timothy Treadwell, wildlife preservationist and author, who lived for 13 summers among grizzly bears in Alaska. In October 2003, his remains were found, along with those of his girlfriend, apparently having been brutally attacked and killed by a bear at Katmai National Park. The documentary pieces together much of Treadwell’s own footage in an attempt to solve the mystery of what happened and why, all the while exploring the relationship between man and nature.
