Documentary About Saddam’s Ousting From Iraqi Filmmakers

There have been a handful of American documentaries about the war in Iraq over the last couple of years, most of which were told from an American point of view. Now Iraqi filmmaker Hayder Daffar is getting a lot of press lately for his film “The Dreams of Sparrows”, the first film to come out of Iraq since Saddam was removed from power. The movie has been screening in various cities across the U.S., and apparently you can even book your own house party screening event for the film if you get in touch with the producers. Sounds like a killer kegger to me. Visit the official site to see the trailer for The Dreams of Sparrows, and also to order the movie on DVD if you’re so inclined.
