Daniel Clowes Talks Art School Confidential, Ice Haven

The NPR (National Public Radio in the U.S. … duh!) had an interview with graphic novelist Daniel Clowes this week. Clowes is best known for Ghost World, which was also turned into a movie by Terry Zwigoff that he co-wrote the script for. He has a new graphic novel called “Ice Haven”, based on the Leopold and Loeb, notorious Chicago murderers from 1924. He also has a new movie in the works, again being directed by Terry Zwigoff. The movie is “Art School Confidential“, based on a story from his Eightball series, starring Max Minghella, Sophia Myles, Matt Keeslar, John Malkovich, and Jim Broadbent. The interview on NPR is pretty dry, but still worth a listen if you’re a fan. I’m looking forward to hearing and seeing more about Art School Confidential, which is planned for a limited theatrical release on September 30th.
