Trailer for “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” Starring Steve Carell

Steve Carell’s career is definitely heating up. After nearly stealing the show in Anchorman, and then landing the lead role in NBC’s The Office, now we come to a movie that could potentially make him a full-blown comedy superstar. The 40-Year-Old Virgin is a comedy written and directed by Judd Apatow of Freaks & Geeks fame, with Carell himself actually co-writing the script and executive producing too. On the surface it looks like a run-of-the-mill comedy following in the footsteps of Hitch, but with the people involved you have to assume it will be much more than that. Also co-starring Paul Rudd (Anchorman), Catherine Keener (Being John Malkovich), and Seth Rogen (Freaks & Geeks). Yahoo! has the trailer up right now so head over and see what you think. The 40-Year-Old Virgin hits theatres on August 19th.

  1. wow. in the hands of anyone else or starring a different group of people, this could have been Rob Schneider levels of bad.

  2. more than anyone, I’m glad to see Seth Rogen has a big part.

  3. Me too. Seth Rogen rocks. Can’t wait for the Undeclared DVD.
