The Return Of The Best Online Game Ever: Acrophobia
A few years back, a company called Berkley Systems developed a number of games including the popular “You Don’t Know Jack” trivia game. They also created a highly addictive online game called Acrophobia. The basic idea behind the game was that each round you were given a handful of letters and a category, and you had to come up with a clever acronym to go with them. At the end of the round, each player voted for their favourite and the results were tallied. Sound lame? Maybe, but I know a lot of people who were seriously addicted to this game when it was still around (in fact, there’s still an Acrophobia Addicts Anonymous website kicking around the web). At any rate, I recently discovered that online game service Uproar has resurrected Acrophobia, and it’s now my goal to make sure all the Acrophobia addicts fall off the wagon. And if you’ve never played, sign up for an account and try it out. You haven’t had this much fun since the last time you played Yahtzee with your grandma. Seriously.
