A lot of indie filmmakers have been taking it upon themselves to produce documentaries on certain classic films as of late, a trend that seems a little unnecessary when many of these movies already have great supplemental materials on their DVD releases. Case in point: the Back To The Future trilogy. Darold Crotzer, Dan Cooper and their production company Agenda Films are in the process of creating a feature length documentary on the BTTF trilogy called “Looking Back At The Future”, that combines over 20 new cast and crew interviews with archival footage and exclusive photographs and blueprints. The doc is expected to be out sometime in the second half of 2005, but they aren’t sure exactly how it will be released just yet.
