Trailer For Lars von Trier’s “Manderlay” Online

Lars Von Trier, director of such bleak films as Dancer In The Dark and Dogville, is returning with his next film entitled “Manderlay”. And boy, is it a controversial one. Just check out the new trailer that has appeared online and you’ll understand why. Manderlay is the story of a plantation in the U.S. in the 1930’s where slavery still exists. It is also a continuation of Dogville, which was the first part of a trilogy known as the “USA – Land of Opportunities” trilogy (Grace from Dogville is a main character in this one as well). The movie stars Danny Glover, Willem Dafoe, John Hurt and Jeremy Davies, and Bryce Dallas Howard taking over Nicole Kidman’s role as Grace Margaret Mulligan. Manderlay is still in need of a U.S. distributor, but is expected to be out sometime this year. Check out the trailer linked below.
