Trailer For Street Dancing Doc “Rize” Now Online
The latest trend in South Central L.A. is apparently not gangbanging but rather a form of street dancing known as “Krumping”. David LaChappelle, fashion photographer and music video director, is putting together his first feature film, a documentary on the Krumping craze called “Rize”. It’s being compared to Style Wars, the critically acclaimed hip hop culture documentary, as it focuses on the relevance of this new form of creative expression and the rivalry between dance troupes. Lion’s Gate Films is planning a limited theatrical release for Rize on June 24th, 2005. Check out the trailer at the official site, linked below.
