Frickin’ Sweet Napoleon Dynamite Toys Coming Soon
Always keeping a finger to the pulse of pop culture, comic book legend/baseball fanboy Todd McFarlane has decided that Jared Hess’ indie film Napoleon Dynamite is so damn hip that it deserves to have a toy line dedicated to it. In an announcement this week, McFarlane Toys and Fox Licensing & Merchandising announced an agreement that would allow McFarlane to create an assortment of Napoleon Dynamite figures including Napoleon, his sidekick Pedro, brother Kip, and girlfriend Deb. According to McFarlane: “This is the new generation’s cult classic film; fans will be repeating the lines over and over just like my generation did with three or four movies when I was 13.” Unfortunately there are no pics of the actual toys at this time, but I can see these being pretty cool. Total must-have merchandise for hipsters and social misfits.
