Undeclared Gets Tentative Summer DVD Release

Freaks And Geeks series creator Judd Apatow has recently given fans an update on the status of his other short-lived TV show, Undeclared, and its upcoming DVD release. Recently some online retailers began listing a July 5th date for Undeclared: The Complete Series, and Apatow responded on the Freaks And Geeks forum to say that the release date may actually turn out to be August instead. He promises another fully loaded 6-disc box set with audio commentaries for each episode. Clearance for the music used in the show has also gone well, with approximately 96 percent of the original music being licensed for the DVD. He explains that some artists like Jay-Z and Outkast have grown much bigger since the show originally aired and now wanted too much money. Either way, this should be another great DVD set to look forward to and it will be in stores hopefully by the end of the summmer at the latest.

  1. Oh yeah.

I hope they managed to keep Marshall’s song from Parent’s Weekend and the sweet rhymes laid down by Eric and his Kopy Town crew.

  2. I’m trying to remember if Undeclared was actually good.

I remember watching one where the ‘friend from home’ visits him in college, and there was much talking about how Freddy Got Fingered is actually genius or something…

  3. Undeclared was great. I think you’d like it. It was definitley one of the best 1/2 hour comedies on TV.

  4. They did the same they did with Freaks and Geeks they swtiched days and times around on it so you had to really try and catch it. Then it was just gone, but it was a fantastic show.
