Weezer Confirm New Album Date, Release First Single
It’s official — Weezer’s new album “Make Believe” will hit stores on May 10, 2005. The band has announced a slew of tour dates for May and June throughout North America and Europe as they hit the road in order to promote the record. If the album’s first single “Beverly Hills” is any indication however, Make Believe will be nothing to get overly excited about. It premiered on KROQ in L.A. this week and it sounds like pretty standard, middle of the road fluff. Not quite the summer party anthem I was hoping for personally, but hey… it’s only one song right? its not their best song, but I dont see what all the fuss is about… i really dont get it. the last two albums still sounds as much Weezer as the blue album and pinkerton, just not as consistent the whole way through as the other two. when I hear bashing of modern Weezer I think of it as when people were trashing the Simpsons around season 9. going downhill, but hardly terrible.
Posted by Goon on March 25th, 2005Weezer can bite my ass. Anyone that thinks weezer is anything even resembling “rock and roll” needs to go buy some land in Florida or suck my cock!
Posted by Grune on March 25th, 2005It sounds good, not as good as stuff they have came out with in the past. Weezer is rock, a lot of bands take after Weezer. I don’t know about anyone else but I think that the roll fell off of rock after the 50’s, if you think about it, idk.
Posted by Joe on March 26th, 2005yo Grune Weezer is more rock then you lame ass cock can handle obviously. They can’t put anything out as good as the blue album but nobody can it’s just perfect from begining to end. I think you’re just mad cause the home you built in Florida is now underground.Too bad man you should’ve known beter just like you should know no ones gonna suck your cock cause you suck.-Roland-
