Learn To Love Surfing The Web Again With Stumble Upon

Ever notice how no one just surfs the web anymore? Now that the novelty’s worn off and the overwhelming magnitude of the internet has set in, most people only use their web browsers to seek specific information rather than for recreational purposes. They get in and get out… the less hassle the better. But here’s a little toolbar for your web browser that will get you surfing for the fun of it again. With the click of a button it will randomly bring you to a website, which you can investigate and then give a thumbs up or down. As you rate sites, it will build a profile for you (also based on categories you are interested in) and try to offer up sites that were recommended by people with similar interests. It’s a neat idea, and a great time waster. Follow the link below to get Stumble Upon for Firefox, Internet Explorer, Netscape or Mozilla (no Opera… boo).

  1. I am loving this feature for Firefox. I seriously spent a whole day just stumbling around the internet. I have a few key websites that I check daily, but with Stumble Upon I found a whole bunch of neat websites that I have added to my list of daily visits. There is also a little community attached to the SU extension. You have a profile and likes and dislikes, and other people can view your profile and see your list of websites that you like. These people can link to you and when you find a new website you like, they will also be informed of the site. It’s a lot of fun and like Sean said, a great time waster.
