The Amazing Race: Family Edition?
It looks like we won’t be seeing the end of the Amazing Race any time soon. CBS has already ordered 2 more seasons of the show to follow the upcoming 7th season which will premiere on Tuesday March 1st at 9 pm. What’s more, the show’s producers are planning a bit of a twist for the 8th season. It will be a “Family Edition” of the Race, with teams comprised of 4 members (all related) instead of the usual 2. Thankfully, all children participating must be at least 12 years old. I can’t say this is good thing… we all know that Trading Spaces went downhill after the Family Edition! Though, truth be told, the Amazing Race is already on a downhill slide, and this definitely sounds like overkill.

I found The Amazing Race to be the most tolerable reality series. In truth, I actually liked the two seasons I followed but what’s with all of the overkill? There’s no way that it can last much longer at this rate unless they really go extreme and make a nude edition. Or in outer space. Or nude in outer space.
Posted by Nuno on February 10th, 2005It’s still a good show but it’s getting repetitive and uncreative now. And they’re relying too much on getting couples to bicker and fight with each other. People are definitely going to get sick of it soon though.
I’m all about The Apprentice now.
