I never heard about it coming to theatres and I can understand why, but I wonder if you can get it on DVD anywhere. I always feel compelled to watch Larry Clark films and yet I always feel hollow after I see them. Why? I don't know. After a lot of consideration of his work I really find little artisitic value in it and just a bunch of legal, fucked up teen porn. I can make arguments for defending Clark's artistic visions but I usually come back to the fact that I think he's really just a dirty old man. I could go on and on about this but the simple fact is that I will still probably continue to watch his films just to see what he'll do next and I like movie with kids skating in them. Yes this is a real situation but why tell it over and over? The argument can be made that Clark is trying to depict the youth and the body and the fact that in the modern, defective world the only thing teens have control of is their own bodies. They then abuse them and experiment with them as a form of rebelion and expression. However he seemed to have already made that statement several times so why does he feel he has to keep hammering it home? I think his films have too much shock value and too much teen sex for the narrative, it has no purpose most of the time.
