If the limited theatrical release of Shane Carruth’s trippy low budget sci-fi flick Primer prevented you from seeing it, you will finally be able to buy or rent it on DVD in just a few short months. New Line will be issuing a Primer DVD on April 5th 2005. The supplemental material, however, is disappointingly sparse. Hopefully some insight can be gained from the 2 audio commentary tracks (one from writer/director Shane Carruth, and one from Carruth with cast and crew) as they are the only extra features included with the release. It would have been nice to have some featurettes or documentaries on time travel and the real-world science involved, or even just about the low budget production.
