The first image only recently appeared online for Tim Burton’s new stop motion flick, and now already we get another pleasant surprise… an official trailer now playing over at Apple.com. It looks destined to be another quirky Tim Burton classic, although perhaps a little more straightforward than The Nightmare Before Christmas. The trailer claims that it will be out for Halloween 2005. The Corpse Bride features the voices of Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Watson, Albert Finney and Christopher Lee, among others. Also in related news, McFarlane Toys have announced that they will be releasing a variety of toys based on the Corpse Bride including action figures, plush toys, PVC figures and also “fashion dolls, bobbleheads, novelties and gifts such as candles, glassware mugs, pewter pieces and ornaments”. Sounds like it’s going to be quite the merchandising cash cow.
