With Survivor becoming extremely boring and repetitive, some of the newer reality shows have jumped to the top of my must-see list in its place. Among them, The Apprentice has quickly become a favourite of mine if only because of the real world challenges and of course, Donald Trump’s overblown ego and ridiculous lifestyle. It seems that a third season of The Apprentice has been fast-tracked to TV in order to give NBC more guaranteed ratings this winter. On January 20th the show will premiere with a special 90-minute episode introducing a new theme for this season: Book Smarts vs Street Smarts. 9 candidates will come into the game with a college or university degree, while the other 9 will come with only high school diplomas but also a successful entrepreneurial background. Trump asks the question “Which team will you root for?” Duh, obviously everyone’s going to be rooting for the Street Smarts team!
