Chevelle and Helmet To Headline SnoCore Tour

Over the years the SnoCore Tour had some decent bands play it, but mostly it’s been a cheesy winter version of the Warped Tour with snowboarding instead of skateboarding. This year Helmet have been tapped to join the 2005 SnoCore line-up but I cringe when I see the rest of the bands on the bill. Chevelle, Crossfade, Future Leaders Of The World, and Strata. Uhh… who? I mean, Chevelle’s the only other band I’ve heard of and I don’t see how they can carry a tour of this magnitude. I can’t see many people paying to see this line-up. Helmet would be better off doing another tour on their own. The Toronto date of the tour is scheduled for February 19th at a venue yet to be determined.

  1. That line-up looks great. Just because a band isn’t well known doesn’t mean they’re not good. Crossfade and F.L.O.W. are way better bands than Chevelle, but Chevelle is the most popular of the bunch in the mainstream, so obviously that’s why they got the head-lining spot. And ticket sales won’t be a problem as they’re only playing fairly small venues. This show is coming through Minneapolis in February and it’ll be at The Quest Nightclub, which has like a 500-700 maximum capacity in the main room. If they can’t sell out 700 tickets, then there’s definitely a breakdown in the promotions department. But I will be at the show for sure.
