Half-Life 2 Demo Available Now
In case you’ve been backlogged with the many great holiday video game releases and haven’t had a chance to get to Half-Life 2 yet, here’s an opportunity for you to get a taste of what many people have named the best game of the year. ATI is offering the demo as a free download for a limited time, no doubt in the hopes of selling a few more video cards since the system requirements for the game are so heavy. The demo includes some of the early levels in the game, and also a look at the area known as “Ravenholm”, lauded by many as the coolest part of the game. Personally I’ve finally decided to sit down and play through the first Half-Life and even 6 years later it still holds up as an amazing achievement. If you’ve got the system to play it, don’t miss out on the sequel.

The demo is huge! 769 Megs!
Anyway, the ATI link goes incredibly fast, so I guess it’s not really that big of a deal (for those of us on fast internet). I already own the game, but I’m happy for those that don’t… they’ll get a chance to try it out.
