The reason is the best band that Canada has put into the punk scene in years. They sound nothing like thrice, thursday, or senses fail. WHY? Because they they have not only fused together 2 ends of the punk spectrum... but combined differnt types of music such as Metal and even some funk (listen to some of the bass lines). I have never heard a band make any such sound before. Not to mention that their live shows kick every other band in the pussy. I saw them when the first came out about 4 years ago... and i have not seen a better show by any other band since then. They are not just riding the current punk trend either... THE REASON will stand the test of time because they have encorperated so many various types of music into their work. Take THE CLASH for example... they were the first band to mix such a wide variaty into their songs. MY ADVICE TO YOU: Get the new RAVENNA CD, and all of the Ep's as soon as possible. And if they are coming to a town near you, go and see them destroy any other show you have ever seen. THE REASON has their own unique sound and style, and remain one of my favorite bands of all time.
